Shotlist Planning
Below is the shortlist me and my team have created. The benefits of shortlisting are that it leads to efficient filming, with a lot of time saved as we know what footage will be filmed, and it is broken down to the seconds.

Evaluation
1- What have you learnt from completing this task?
Throughout the process of completing this task, i have adapted and learnt many new skills and techniques, for example in the preliminary task, we decided to use a chair with wheels as a 'track and dolly', and it is initiative spontaneous thinking that will benefit them. I used editing to ensure the moving image matches with the soundtrack. These tasks have improved my ability to create a video with a target objective,
3- Are you pleased with the footage of the edit?
Yes, we used many unique shots in our prelim task and it worked really well together. Undoubtedly, there would have been more shots we would have wanted to look more professional however due to time constraints and a lack of experience, this was a challenging task as it was so this preliminary task was done only to the best of our ability with a single draft,
5- How did you manage the task between your members?
The fact that we had 3 people in a group who had different skills was beneficial as we decided to utilise each of our strengths as individual, which in essence made our communication vital; editing was mainly taken up by Jada and Kevhia whilst i was more taking on the roles of organising cast, operating camera and helping out with suggesting key ideas in the editing.
2- What will you aim to do differently, or use in your next coursework piece?
There were many things in my preliminary task that worked successfully, which i could extract and reflect in my coursework, for example in my prelim, the shoe shot worked really well, as the editing was crucially scrutinized. We may consider repeating the same technique as it was unique. furthermore, we will definitely devote more time to filming.
4- How do you think your prelim experience will impact your approach to your final coursework project?
Well, the prelim we produced had many strengths and many areas of weakness. This will lead me to use the strengths in the final coursework in order to come up with a more professional piece.

6- What technology did you use and why?
Whilst creating out piece, the piece of equipment used was a Canon EOS 500D which has a 15.1MP lens. This camera was capable of recording at 1080P video quality and had a considerably long battery life, making it the ideal on-the-go portable camera. The software used for editing is called Final Cut Pro X. The interface feels much more spacious, and user friendly compared to other software like apple imovie and adobe premiere, hence why we used this application. Also, my group member Jada was quite experienced with editing using final cut pro, so that was a bonus.
7- What factors did you have to take into account in your prelim?
During the production of our prelim, many factors had to be thought about to ensure the smooth, prestigious outcome of our final piece, the 'Britney Spears- Hit me baby'. Initially, the concern was finding the time to work together was proving to be a bigger problem than expected
